I have been a woodworker for over 15 years. My training had been by trial and error until I learned about a school in Boston, MA that teaches fine woodworking: North Bennet Street School. In the early 1990s, I started taking woodworking workshops at North Bennet Street School. I enrolled in the full time two year Cabinet and Furniture Making program in January of 1995. I started teaching workshops at the school upon graduation in 1996. From 1996 to 2007 I ran the Workshop Program at North Bennet Street School.

Currently, in addition to building furniture, I teach workshops at North Bennet Street School and other locations.

My workshop is located at my home in Ryegate, Vermont. The shop is located in the barn on my property. It was converted from horse barn to a cabinet shop in the 1940s by a cabinet maker. I am the third furniture maker to use this as a workshop.

In the past, I have been asked, "Do you have a hard time letting go of the furniture you have made?" I enjoy making furniture and accessories that enhance and enrich lives. But I value the process of building the piece, working with my hands, and doing it right. The end product belongs to the client; the process belongs to me.

Please feel free to contact me by phone or email to discuss that special piece of furniture.
